Gavin and Victoria first crossed paths at Binus University, where they not only competed in architectural competitions but also achieved significant success, garnering accolades in various categories. Their collaborative journey continued beyond university as they embarked on small-scale projects, ranging from residences and offices to retail spaces and custom structures for Honda. Their shared affinity for minimalist design led them to Studio Tonton, a renowned Indonesian architectural firm, where they further refined their skills. In their pursuit of realizing their dreams, Gavin and Victoria ventured to establish their own architecture and interior design firm, Atelier Awan.

Our Design Philosophy

Atelier Awan finds beauty in the simplicity of design. We are captivated by the way white space, shadows, and light can breathe life into forms. Our commitment to minimalism allows our architectural and interior designs to transcend boundaries and adapt to a multitude of concepts. We understand that creating authentic minimalist designs requires mastery of the 12 principles of design: contrast, balance, emphasis, proportion, hierarchy, repetition, rhythm, pattern, white space, movement, variety, and unity.

Our passion for design extends beyond aesthetics; it encompasses the art of crafting spaces that seamlessly integrate with their surroundings, meeting both functional and aesthetic demands.
